Hypnosis is a natural state and a personal experience. Have you ever been so absorbed in an activity that time seemed to cease to exist? The phenomenon is explained by a change in the frequency of electrical waves emitted by the brain in a state of relaxation and heightened focus. Neither sleep nor wakefulness, the trance state lies somewhere in the middle of this road. The state preserves the notion of choice and triggers the activation and inhibition of certain brain areas, allowing the creation of new pathways, i.e., new perceptions, thoughts, and behaviors.
While all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, therapeutic hypnosis is an approach that involves brief therapy to achieve a specific goal. This approach, anchored in the present and looking toward the future, recognizes the union between body and mind and advocates autonomy in achieving desired goals.
The sessions include a conversational and experiential component, personalized training is suggested with adapted supporting material in order to support the person ready to make lasting changes in order to increase their well-being and quality of life.
